Honoring Their Sacrifice: Because The Greatest Casualty is Being Forgotten. Starting on the Kansas/Nebraska border, 10pm on Thursday, September 09, 2010, I will run non-stop, 224 miles, to the Kansas/Oklahoma border in 60hours. My goal is to raise $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

June and July Schedule of Events
-Tuesday June 8th from 4pm to 10pm.
“On the Border” restaurant New Market Square will be holding a Wounded Warrior night for us. They are going to give our fundraiser 10% of all sales. Please come out and eat!
-Saturday June 26th Maize South track 9 hour walk/jog/run
- From 6am to 3pm I will use this time for a 9 hour training run. We encourage everyone to come out and participate; we are asking that you donate $1 per lap you complete. This is an “on your honor” event. All money will go towards our $25,000 goal. Please bring your own aide, such as water, water bottle and food. No cups will provided for water. Bathrooms will be open and we are trying to provide water for the entire 9 hours, but that still is unknown. The Marines, Army, Navy and Wichita FD will all be present for the event.
-Saturday July 10th Wyandotte County Park – Summer Psycho 25k and 50K Trail runs
- This is a Kansas City Trail Nerd event and I can guarantee you, you will not be disappointed. We will be holding a raffle at the conclusion of this event, with at least $500 in raffle prizes, $1 dollar a ticket. If you are a marathoner and think you have what it takes to run a 50K, I dare you to try this one, arguably one of the toughest 50k courses in the mid-west! http://www.psychowyco.com/id75.html
Race directors Ben Holmes and Sophia Wharton have put a link to our blog on the on-line entry page and have graciously offered to help promote our fundraiser!

About Me
- Tony's 224 Mile Trot
- I am a veteran infantry Marine that served in Afghanistan with 1st Battalion 1st Marines. Since leaving the Marine Corps I have become a veteran ultra-marathon athlete. On the weekend of September 11, 2010 I will run 224 miles non-stop across Kansas, to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Doing our part to ensure, they’re not Forgotten
On September 9th, 2010 at 10 pm, a group of Americans will set out to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warriors of the United States Military. Our journey will begin at the Kansas/Nebraska border and end on the Kansas/Oklahoma border. Tony Clark an ultra marathoner and combat veteran Marine, will run solo 224miles along “Old Hwy 81”. The mission of this group is to raise $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Program and to raise awareness of the plight our Wounded Warriors face.
The run will begin on September 9th, 2010 at 10pm and end some 60hrs later on September 12, 2010. Tony Clark served in the United States Marine Corps from 1996-2002 as an infantryman and forward observer. Tony is an ultra-marathon runner that has finished many marathons and 100 mile ultra-marathon races. Tony has assembled a crew to help him complete this grueling challenge. The crew consists of Kyle and Stacey Amos from Olathe, Kansas, Tony’s wife Angel, and Dan and Rebecca Elsener of Indianapolis, IN. Kyle is a veteran ultra runner and tri-athlete, who has a deep knowledge of endurance racing. His expertice in training, nutrition, and mental aspects of endurance sports will help Tony achieve his goal. Dan and Rebecca Elsener from Indianapolis, Indiana; Dan is also a veteran Marine that served with Tony and a Paramedic. The final piece to this group will be Tony’s wife Angel. Angel has been Tony’s strength and motivator through his training and completion of some of the most grueling 100 mile races in the United States.
This event is going to take a total group effort. In order to honor those who have sacrificed, we ask that people spread the word about this event and make a financial donation to these Wounded Warriors.
